We went to Charred for the degustation dinner. It was a fabulous weekend away in Orange with 4 nurse friends. Charred was our treat and what a wonderful experience we had! From the cocktails to start the night and to end with the delicious dessert. The customer service is exceptional and their knowledge of the food and local wines is impressive. I highly recommend this culinary experience and to explore Orange. Everything about Charred is sensational! My advice is just GO!

The five course degustation menu at hatted restaurant ‘Charred’ with matching wines was nothing short of unbelievable! Seriously good food and specifically selected menu to adjust for any and all food allergies we had noted. The sommelier, wait staff, ambience and quality all five stars! So impressed! 🥰🍷🍽️ This has to be Orange’s best restaurant! 🤩

We went to Charred for a six-course tasting menu and had a mixed experience. The first two courses were good and showcased the local produce and the wood-fired oven. They were flavourful and well presented. However, the other courses were average and did not live up to the expectations. The dishes were bland, boring and the meat course overcooked. The staff were friendly. The wine pairing was decent, but not very exciting. The lighting was too dark and we felt rushed to finish our meal. Overall, we had a decent meal, but not worth the price or the hype.

An absolutely amazing experience if you want fine dining then this the place x may be a good idea to book as they are busy x a set 5 course meal with an abundance of wine’s spirits etc and of cause cocktail’s x not cheap so check out pricing before you book x

We loved our meal at charred. Impressed with the creativity (and taste) of the food. It is a step above the usual 'premium dining' which has become very same-y (and boring). Lovely space with friendly knowledgeable service. Given all this - pricing was very good too. Highly recommended

It’s hard to get a table here i think, very busy place, with a chic menu but a casual vibe. The food is impeccable, the spanner crab was my favourite - super meaty and full of umami. None of the dish were as I have imagined it, full of surprises. Every single plate is artsy and fun to eat. However, the portions are small, so don’t expect to be full after (or maybe I eat more than average), but you’ll definitely be satisfied. Good wine list and big tables, so definitely a special occasion type of place for me.

Have to admit, was expecting a nice quiet atmosphere buy it was fairly noisy and warm inside. The service fairly casual but the team were attentively and that made the difference. Noise aside the food is well presented, fresh and unique. Serving sizes good and the dessert that we ordered on top simply dazzling. The wine list is as long as your fav novel.

Visited Charred for dinner during F.O.O.D week and it was such a great experience. The service was friendly and attentive and we throughly enjoyed every dish in the set menu. Highly recommend for a lovely dinner.
